Water

Here's the latest card in the Postman's Knock swap on my theme of water.  It's lovely - beautiful cool blue photos and a very apt quote.  Thank you, Jane at Marigold Jam.  The photo isn't as good as it might be, I'll try and take a better one later to do it justice.  It has an overall calming effect which is much needed here today!

Regular readers to this blog will remember that we had a water problem with an overflowing sink a couple of weeks ago.   Since Thursday we have been in further chaos with a massive leak from the water main into the house from the meter, which has caused damage in H's study and music room.  This is the third day of emergency plumbers onsite - currently digging up the drive though they've also knocked holes in walls and floor and the garage - unable to find the cause.  Our water's turned off and we have a temporary feed from nextdoor.  I'll resist writing further on the subject until it's (hopefully) all over, but suffice it to say, the cost is mounting up rather at the speed the water meter was running before it was turned off!

Perhaps I shouldn't have chosen water as my theme!
