A winter's tale

The snow went away, but during the night the Frost giants came and separated us from the world........

Until the sun came out.

Lucky you to have had some sun - we have had the heaviest frost I think I have ever seen all day and no sun came through to melt it at all. Doesn't it all look pretty though? Sometimes it's nice to be separated from the rest of the world for a while!

Nothing melted at all, Jane. When we went to the hospital at 1.00 pm the temperature was still -4 though the sun was shining and it was all quite magical (couldn't stop to take photos unfortunately). On the way back we had a wonderful red sun over the hills. It is all so beautiful that the cold almost seems worthwhile.

Lovely photos of a magical day. It didn't get above -8 in my garden, despite blue skies and sunshine.

I'm with you on this. Doesn't everything look just soooooo magical with all this frost?

Beautiful photos, nice being indoors when it looks like that outdoors though.

Stunning photos of the Malvern Hills. Thank you for posting - and do take care when driving in those conditions (I have some rather nightmarish memories of doing so ;-)).
