I promise this is the last lot for now - you can have too much of a good thing! Cats who think they own the place despite being smaller than my little finger nail....
The original farmer (stamped 1955 underneath) with a snazzy customised waistcoat courtesy of my older brother.
Ned, the lonely donkey - can't find his friend.*
Arthur and Boxer, chunky lead carthorses with lovely expressions
A small percentage of the total lead cob collection - very elegant chaps these.
Two examples of a Farmer's gig - the green one I've had for years but the very old one is a more recent purchase. In perfect condition these are very expensive.
A small collection of hounds (apologies to the anti- hunt lobby and I've never owned the fox).
My original stable - marked underneath 9/11d - a great deal of pocket money circa 1958 when I bought it!
And just a couple of the collection of plastic horses who are beautifully detailed and also have lovely expressions - unlike the ones produced after 1970 which are much more obviously toys.
Having been a horse mad child I always had more horses than anything else! If any of you car booters come across any of these in good condition, there's quite a market for them now, especially in good condition and or with a box. The plastic ones pre- 1970 are better and many are date marked underneath . Herald one's are older than Britains if they are plastic. I just love them for their charm - that someone bothered to model a small animal to scale and make it look real just for a child to buy at pocket money prices and play with, is amazing.
Edit* found two other donkeys - knew I had more than one! There's loads more of this stuff but I thought I would bore everyone to tears with any more. I'll save it up for another occasion - unless I buy soemthing new at the Toy Collectors' fair. Jx

I love all your animal groups -- the goats and rabbits yesterday were wonderful too. Imagine them all in one huge display! I think I had the kitties with the ball of wool and the mother cat in a basket when I was little, but that's all. Absolutely great collection. Is that really the end of them? Awwww
What an amazing collection, I love the huntsmen and hounds
Oh I'm smitten by the kittens, so cute and so tiny.
Jane,
Catching up with all of your little collections. They are just wonderful. The goats and rabbits are so quirky but those horse have true class and are my favourites. Beautiful lead animals. I also love the donkeys. I have a fondness for them in real life too! Lesley
